What a beautiful reflection on the power of rhythm and memory! Your experience at the Riverdance performance is so vividly captured, and it’s wonderful how the music and dance evoke such deep emotions and memories. It’s a reminder of how important it is to slow down and reconnect with our own rhythms. Thank you for sharing this heartfelt story!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful reflection. I’m always amazed at how music and movement can unlock something older and deeper than thought. I’m so very grateful to hear that the story resonated with you 💛✨
Thank you for reading this with such curiosity and openness, Lindsay. I love that you are embracing the spirit of Imbolc fully by listening. I so appreciate your presence here 💛✨
Thank you for reading. I’m glad the piece resonated with you. It’s lovely to hear that the writing of John O’Donohue keeps you company too. I hope to be sharing more about Anam Cara in future posts🙏✨
Oh Kim this is such a rich article - you weave a rich tapestry of Brigid, music, rhythm, poetry, hearth, flame and home. I love your meditation linked to the Brigid's cross I learnt how to make them last year with rushes cut from our forest nearby and shared with other women as part of an Imbolc workshop. I notice I have had not had time to do one this year which tells me to listen and slow at the hearth. I have another book to add to my collection (I have books on Brigid by Courtney Weber and Morgan Daimler) I will go back and read your article again (and again). How special that you have the Celtic rhythm of the dance in your heart and your feet.
Thank you so much for this beautiful reflection, Bridget. I loved hearing about your Brigid’s cross from the forest rushes and the way you shared it with other women — that feels so connected and alive. I’m glad the meditation resonated and offered a gentle reminder to slow down and be at the hearth. I always enjoy your book recommendations — I was just looking at the one by Courtney Weber, and I’m currently reading Tending Brigid’s Flame by Lunaea Weatherstone. Reading your reflections brings the richness of this tradition to life in such a heartfelt way — thank you for sharing it. 🙏✨💛
Thank you for this invitation Kim. I am noticing both the return of light and the first hints of spring….lengthening daylight hours and milder temperatures.
The meditation offered me more insights for which I am grateful. Thank you for helping slow down and be mindful of what is unfolding.
Kelly, I love how attuned you are to what’s unfolding for you. I’m grateful to learn the meditation revealed some new insights. Your awareness and thoughtful reflection are truly wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing and for your presence here 🙏✨
The resting foot is a poignant example of noticing the pause. What wonderful traditions and knowledge you’ve shared from the Celtic culture Kim. Thank you. Enjoyed reading very much and your poem is very meaningful.
Your affirmations are amazing! Your poem How to Make Fire is very well done. Thank you for sharing aboutt Imbolc. I find it quite fitting that it falls on a full moon in Leo this year. February is all about fire. 🔥
Thank you, Michelle — I really appreciate knowing the affirmations and the poem landed. I didn’t realize Imbolc falls with a full moon in Leo this year, but wow… this February definitely knows how to burn bright! 🔥✨
Oooh I absolutely love the notion of Imbolc as a rest note, as a foot lifted high in the dance to open up silence, even as the effervescence of new life is pulsing upward...I will seek a little silence this weekend to honour this moment. Thank you Kim!
Anna, I’m so glad that the essay resonated with you, and I love knowing you’ll be welcoming a little silence this weekend. Thank you for reading so attentively. Hoping the rhythm finds you this weekend.💛✨

“Like a rest note in music, that silence gives meaning to what follows. Imbolc asks us to trust the silence between steps.”
This stirs a curiosity within. Ive been sitting with stillness and silence. The liminal space between creations.
Feeling less drawn to read my books, as I normally do. I can’t quite get myself to move, and yet I haven’t been listening enough.
More focused on the noise than the silence. I’m wondering what will happen when I sit with this tonight.
Thank you for the new perspective. ✨

I enjoyed reading about Imbolc and Brigit. Beautiful writing. Anam Cara keeps me company too.
